About Wharf Hotels

Wharf Hotels is a hospitality group based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and a subsidiary of The Wharf (Holdings) Limited, one of Hong Kong's long-established listed companies. Founded in 1986, the group owns and/or manages hotels in Hong Kong, mainland China and the Philippines, acting as the hospitality platform of the Wharf conglomerate.

Its portfolio totals more than 5,000 guestrooms across three distinct in-house brands: Niccolo Hotels, its collection of contemporary luxury hotels inspired by fashion, with properties such as The Murray in Hong Kong and hotels in Chengdu, Changsha, Suzhou and Chongqing; Marco Polo Hotels, the premium brand named after the Venetian explorer and reflecting his adventurous ethos; and Maqo, its newest lifestyle proposition. The group is a member of Global Hotel Alliance and its GHA DISCOVERY loyalty programme.

Through its English-language corporate website, Wharf Hotels brings together its three brands, bookings, hotel development for owners and its media centre. This listing covers the owning and management group rather than a single hotel: each property trades under one of the three brands, while contracting, expansion and management are coordinated from the Hong Kong headquarters.
