About Delonix Group
Delonix Group is a Chinese hospitality and experiential consumption group founded in 2022 by Alex Zheng — the founder years earlier of the 7 Days Inn chain — and headquartered in Shenzhen. Its origin lies in the 2021 privatisation of New Century Hotels, the Zhejiang-based hotel manager formerly listed in Hong Kong, whose upscale hotel expertise forms the group's historical core.
The portfolio brings together ten lifestyle brands: Grand New Century, its Chinese-inspired premium brand with around 180 hotels open or in development; Maison New Century, oriented to historical and cultural cities; Found Retreat, Grand House, Wonderland Resorts, CANARY, Ruby Hotels, MJ Hotel, Yiju Life and MORA SPACE. The Betterwood loyalty programme counts tens of millions of members and channels a growing share of direct bookings.
Delonix reports more than 1,400 hotels open or in the pipeline and some 200,000 rooms across over 200 cities, with expansion in Japan and Indonesia, and ranks among the world's largest hotel groups in industry rankings. In 2024 it signed a strategic cooperation with Marriott International to develop Tribute Portfolio hotels in mainland China, combining its own Chinese brands with international flags.
