Dorsett Hospitality International is a hotel group headquartered in Hong Kong, at the Far East Consortium Building in Central, established in 2007 as the hotel arm of Far East Consortium, although its first hotel, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur, dates back to 1998. It describes itself on its official website as one of Asia's fastest-growing hotel groups, with Asian-inspired hospitality and an international outlook.
The group operates four own brands with differentiated identities: Dorsett Hotels & Resorts, its main brand of contemporary city hotels; Dao by Dorsett, customisable aparthotels designed for flexible stays; d.Collection, hotels with character; and Silka Hotels, the efficient, value option for price-conscious travellers. They are complemented by the Dorsett Your Rewards loyalty programme.
Its portfolio comprises around 54 properties in some 25 cities: Hong Kong, where it concentrates about ten hotels such as Dorsett Wanchai, Dorsett Mongkok and the new Dorsett Kai Tak; mainland China, with a presence in Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan and Jiujiang; and international markets such as Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom and continental Europe, with further openings in the pipeline.
