About Meihao Food
Meihao Food is a Chinese meat deep-processing brand created in 1993 in Chengdu, Sichuan, the country's gastronomic capital, and operated by Chengdu Hope Food within the New Hope agri-food group. It began as a maker of meat products and has become one of the reference brands for hotpot ingredients and for China's emerging prepared-dish industry.
Its catalogue is organised into hotpot ingredient series, Chinese-meal ingredients, barbecue products, snacks, sausages and high- and low-temperature meat products, made from pork and poultry raw materials from the group's own chain. It serves around 100,000 food-service businesses — hotpot, Chinese cuisine, barbecue, banqueting and catering — and the retail channel, with its own R&D and quality-testing centres.
The brand runs fourteen core factories across Sichuan, Anhui, Shandong, Beijing, Liaoning and Shaanxi, with around 2,000 employees and annual output of some 70,000 tonnes. Its official Chinese-language website presents the brand, its product series and its national sales network.
