About Xiwang Group
Xiwang Group is a large Chinese private enterprise group founded in 1986 and based in Zouping, Shandong Province, whose food business is built around corn deep processing. Zouping is known as China's "sugar capital" and "corn oil city", and the group controls several listed and high-tech companies dedicated to corn-derived ingredients and, in parallel, a special steel business.
In ingredients, Xiwang processes about three million tonnes of corn a year and produces glucose — with a reported 50% share of the national market and 85% in medicinal glucose — crystalline fructose, starch sugars and maltodextrin, plus corn oil, for which it reports about 600,000 tonnes a year and around 60% of the Chinese market. Its investment in crystalline fructose aimed to break the monopoly of European and US producers in this sweetener.
The group's health chain combines bulk ingredients with consumer products under the Xiwang brand, such as corn germ oil and sports nutrition and weight-management lines. Its starch sugar products have been rated as Chinese famous-brand products, and the group serves China's food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries with large-scale functional ingredients derived from corn.
