About Zhiweiguan
Zhiweiguan is a century-old Hangzhou restaurant brand in Zhejiang, created in 1913 and recognised as a China time-honoured brand, with the traditional motto evoking travellers who stop for its taste and dismount for its aroma. It belongs to the Hangzhou Catering Service Group, and its official website, in Chinese, presents its restaurants, its food production arm and its store network.
Its flagship, by West Lake at No. 83 Renhe Road, is a large-format restaurant specialising in Hangzhou cuisine and in the small eats that made the brand famous: pork and crab xiaolongbao, wontons, pian'er chuan noodles, cat's-ear noodles and traditional pastries. The network counts more than 80 outlets across Hangzhou, Shanghai and nearby cities, while its food arm produces mooncakes, zongzi and prepared Hangzhou dishes.
Zhiweiguan combines a heritage restaurant with a modern food company: it keeps the historic dining room as a showcase of Hangzhou cooking while industrialising its most popular products for supermarkets and e-commerce. It is one of Zhejiang's best-known culinary institutions.
