Shandong Chunguan Food Co., Ltd. is a Chinese poultry livestock production company based in Jiangyu Town, Linqu County, Weifang, Shandong Province, founded in 1999. It specialises in Landes geese and describes itself as a breeding and processing enterprise integrating the incubation, breeding, processing and sales of Landes goose products, in the county that accounts for a notable share of world foie gras production.
The company runs a full chain covering hatching, Landes goose breeding, slaughtering, processing and sales. In May 2018 it set up the Linqu County Chunguan Landes Goose Ecological Breeding Professional Cooperative, built around its own breeding base together with 178 households from six professional breeding farms under a 'company + base + farmer' model; that year it raised more than 400,000 Landes geese and built ten standardised breeding sheds, with recycled wastewater treatment, harmless manure treatment, a pre-cooling cold store and processing workshop and laboratories, on an investment of over 18 million yuan.
Its range focuses on goose liver and its by-products: foie gras, goose liver slices, goose liver sauce, goose meat sauce and high-end prepared dishes made from goose by-products. Since late 2017 it has maintained a research team of more than thirty food-science PhD holders working on foie gras deep processing and quality, and in recent years it has targeted overseas markets, investing in an export-compliant slaughter line to support its international expansion.
