About Grandma's Home

Grandma's Home, Waipojia in Chinese, is a restaurant group founded in 1998 in Hangzhou, by West Lake, starting from a small restaurant on Macheng Road. Its name, evoking a grandmother's cooking, defines an offer of home-style Zhejiang cuisine at popular prices that became a nationwide queueing phenomenon, with restaurants filling up daily in dozens of cities.

According to its official website, the network exceeds 180 restaurants in more than 60 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Chengdu and Nanjing, with signature Hangzhou dishes such as tea-flavoured chicken, Grandma's braised pork and Longjing tea prawns. The group has ranked for several consecutive years among China's top one hundred catering enterprises.

Since 2010 the group has pursued a multi-brand strategy with differentiated concepts that share its philosophy of careful design and attentive service: Luyu, specialising in grilled fish; Jin Waipo Jia, its premium version; Chuanyue; Zhengnianqing, devoted to healthy steamed dishes; Yan Xihu; Hang'er Feng; and Zhubá, focused on high-quality pork. Each brand extends the parent house's universe without losing the link with Zhejiang's culinary roots.
