About Beijing GeoEnviron Engineering & Technology
Beijing GeoEnviron Engineering & Technology, Inc. (BGE) is a Chinese high-technology company founded in 1992 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (603588), headquartered in the Zhongguancun Environmental Protection Park in Beijing's Haidian District. It began as the liner engineering department of the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and specialises in environmental technology research and systematic solutions for pollution prevention and control.
Its two historic fields are environmental remediation and solid waste treatment and disposal. In remediation it covers the whole process, from contaminated-site investigation and risk assessment to the design, implementation and management of remediation for soil, groundwater, mines, farmland, landfills and river basins, with benchmark projects such as the remediation of a solvent plant in Suzhou and the environmental restoration of the Tengger Desert.
In urban and industrial services, BGE handles the collection, storage, transfer and final disposal of municipal waste, disposal systems for urban water supply, municipal sewage, medical waste and hazardous waste, and the safe treatment and resource utilisation of industrial solid waste and wastewater for industrial enterprises and parks. Its Suzhou Qizi Mountain landfill extension project has been honoured as a national demonstration project for municipal works in China.
