About Pacific Coffee

Pacific Coffee is a coffeehouse chain founded in Hong Kong in 1992 by entrepreneur Thomas Neir, inspired by Seattle's coffee culture, with the promise of delivering 'the perfect cup, anywhere, anytime'. In 2010 China Resources Enterprise acquired the majority stake, and the brand became part of one of China's large state-owned retail conglomerates.

Its network combines urban coffeehouses in Hong Kong and mainland Chinese cities with formats such as Bistro by Pacific Coffee, which adds a food menu. The offer includes handcrafted coffees made fresh daily, seasonal drinks, plant-based options such as oat milk, and a line of bakery items and own-brand products, in stores designed as places to work and meet.

The Perfect Cup Card loyalty programme and its mobile app — with points, birthday rewards and pre-ordering for in-store pickup — structure the customer relationship, in line with the weight of digital channels in Chinese food service. Pacific Coffee positions itself in the upper-mid segment of speciality coffee in its home market and on the mainland.
