About Omoda Auto
Omoda is a Chinese automobile brand created by Chery Automobile and presented worldwide in 2023 in Wuhu, Anhui Province, as an independent label aimed at a new generation of drivers. It debuted in 2022 on international markets with the Omoda 5 crossover and became Chery's European spearhead, choosing Spain as its first market on the continent at the end of 2023.
Its range focuses on avant-garde design crossover SUVs such as the Omoda 5 —with petrol, self-charging hybrid and electric versions— and the Omoda 9, a large plug-in hybrid SUV, together with new compact proposals under development. The brand bets on digitalised cabins, advanced driver assistance and long warranties of up to seven years in several European markets.
From Wuhu, Omoda sells across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific through its own dealer networks, which in many countries operate under the joint Omoda & Jaecoo name. It targets urban buyers who prioritise design, connectivity and electrified powertrains, and who look for a Chinese alternative backed by the industrial strength of one of the country's largest car exporters.
