About NUO Hotels

NUO Hotels is a Chinese luxury hotel brand entirely owned by Beijing Tourism Group, unveiled in 2012 at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing as one of China's first homegrown five-star brands with international ambition. Its name derives from characters meaning the golden promise, and its philosophy is summed up in four pillars: Chinese, luxury, contemporary and green, with local culture, China hospitality and low-carbon intelligence as guiding themes.

Its flagship, NUO Hotel Beijing, opened in June 2015 near the 798 Art Zone in Chaoyang District, inspired by the literati culture of the Ming Dynasty: it offers 438 spacious rooms and suites, an executive club lounge and up to seven restaurants and bars working with partner local green farms and producers. In Beijing the brand also includes the historic Beijing Hotel NUO on Chang'an Avenue by the Forbidden City, with origins in 1917.

NUO's official website presents its hotels as decadent, elegant destinations in vibrant Beijing, with an experience joining uncompromising luxury, refined style and the roots and rituals of China, from fine teas to striking artworks. In hotels and accommodation services it provides the singular profile of a luxury brand created in China to reinterpret Chinese hospitality in a contemporary and sustainable key.
