About Liaoning SG Automotive Group Co., Ltd.
Liaoning SG Automotive Group Co., Ltd., known as SG Automotive or by its Chinese name Shuguang, is a vehicle and component manufacturer headquartered in Dandong, Liaoning province, and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Its roots go back to the automobile repair factory of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army created in 1951, from which the historic Huanghai brand descends; today the group combines complete vehicles, axles and components as its three core businesses, supported by a nationally accredited technical centre.
Under the Huanghai Auto brand it builds a full range of city buses and coaches from 5 to 18 metres — including electric and hybrid models — pickup trucks, special vehicles for airports, sanitation and municipal duties, and new-energy vehicles, with a dedicated Dandong base able to produce tens of thousands of clean-energy buses a year. Its buses have served major events such as the Beijing Olympic Games and run in China's leading cities.
Through the SG Axle brand it is also one of China's major component suppliers: nineteen series on five platforms with over one hundred kinds of axles and chassis parts, including electric drive axles and hub motors, supplied on a long-term basis to makers such as JAC, Foton, GWM, Changan, SAIC, FAW and Dongfeng. The group operates three complete-vehicle plants and eight axle and component facilities across eight cities in six provinces, and exports to more than forty countries and regions.
