About Chongqing Dezhuang Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.
Dezhuang was born in 1999 in Chongqing as a hot pot restaurant and grew into an integrated food group that develops, produces and exports the spicy flavours of Chongqing and Sichuan cuisine. Its most distinctive contribution is the Li spicy-degree scale, a heat-grading standard adopted in its home city that classifies its hot pot bases and seasonings so each consumer can choose an exact level of intensity.
The international catalogue includes tallow, tomato, porcini mushroom and green pepper hot pot bases, dipping sauces, hot pot sesame oil and seasonings for dishes such as Chongqing noodles, dandan noodles, spicy grilled fish and maoxuewang. The group also runs restaurants, a culinary research institute and the worldwide promotion of chilli culture together with the World Chilli Alliance.
Its international division markets the Dezhuang brand in dozens of countries. For importers and distributors it offers a coherent range of ready-to-use Sichuan cooking products, backed by a producer that also holds the Guinness World Record for the largest hot pot, presented at the China International Import Expo.
