Beijing Hualian Group Investment Holding Co., Ltd., known by its BHG trademark, is a retail group founded in 1998 and headquartered in Beijing. It is among the fifteen large national retail enterprises supported by China's Ministry of Commerce and is the only Chinese retail enterprise member of the International Association of Department Stores, which it joined in 2006.
Its main activities are the operation of hypermarkets, supermarkets and department stores, together with commercial properties. Its banners include BHG Lifestyle Market, BHG Market Place and BHG Mall in the community segment, and SKP as a luxury department store in Beijing's central business district; its historical network came to exceed 80 hypermarkets in 35 key cities across 23 provinces, with floor space of more than 10,000 square metres per store.
Its stores' assortment covers general merchandise, textiles, daily-use products and fresh fruit and vegetables. The group controls two listed companies and several holding companies, sponsors a retail REIT listed in Singapore with centres in Beijing, Chengdu, Hefei, Xining and Dalian, and adds retail distributorships of international brands such as Costa Coffee and Clarks, as well as the BHG department stores it has operated in Singapore since 2007.
