Yangwang is BYD Auto's ultra-luxury new energy vehicle brand, introduced in January 2023 and marketed by Shenzhen Yangwang Auto Sales Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Positioned above the group's other premium brands, it was born to showcase BYD's most advanced technology in vehicles priced around one million yuan, sold through independent sales channels.
Its range is headed by the Yangwang U8, a luxury off-road SUV with a range extender and four electric motors on the e4 platform —capable even of manoeuvres such as tank turns and emergency flotation—, the U9 electric supercar, with acceleration under three seconds, and the U7 saloon.
