About Xinfa Group

Xinfa Group, also known as Shandong Xinfa Aluminium Group, is one of the largest aluminium producers in China and worldwide, founded in 1972 in Chiping district, Shandong province. Although the group is also involved in power generation and other activities, its historical and principal core is the aluminium chain: alumina refining, electrolytic smelting, carbon production and downstream aluminium processing, through dozens of specialised subsidiaries.

Its range covers alumina, unalloyed and alloyed aluminium ingots for remelting, round aluminium rod for electrical purposes, alloy bars, aluminium plate and strip, busbars and components for electrical, transport and construction applications. With several million tonnes of capacity spread across Shandong, Xinjiang and Guangxi, the group consistently ranks among the world's leading producers of both primary aluminium and alumina.

Xinfa's vertical integration, combining its own power plants, alumina refineries and smelters, helps it control costs in an energy-intensive process such as electrolysis, and its high-technology materials industrial park in Chiping concentrates much of its push into higher value-added aluminium products.
