About Wuzhen Tourism
Wuzhen Tourism is the company that develops and operates the Wuzhen destination, the best-preserved water town south of the Yangtze River, in Tongxiang, Zhejiang. With 1,300 years of history as a town and a national 5A scenic area rating, Wuzhen welcomes millions of visitors across its two great zones: Dongzha, the traditional quarter, and Xizha, the resort complex of canals, inns and theatres.
The operator runs the destination end to end: ticketing and internal transport, a large stock of hotels and guesthouses along the canals, dining, conference centres and the official booking platform. Wuzhen is also the permanent home of the World Internet Conference, which has made it a top-tier meetings and summit destination.
Its cultural layer sets it apart from other ancient towns: it hosts the Muxin Art Museum — dedicated to the writer and painter born in the town — and the Wuzhen Theatre Festival, founded in 2013, which every autumn turns the whole town into a stage with international invited plays, a young artists' competition and a street carnival. The official website offers an English version with practical information and a visitor service phone.
