About Shanghai Wellmax Lighting Industrial Co., Ltd.
Shanghai Wellmax Lighting Industrial Co., Ltd., branded WELLMAX, is a Chinese LED lighting manufacturer founded in 1987 and headquartered in Shanghai's Pudong District. With almost four decades of history, the company presents itself as 'the LED bulb expert' and states that it is Shanghai's number one LED exporter, selling into more than 100 countries with millions of bulbs sold worldwide.
Its catalogue focuses on LED light sources: classic and high-wattage bulbs, T-shaped bulbs, spotlights and flood lights, all developed around its strategic alliance with Samsung, whose first strategic partner it became in 2016, giving it top-priority access to Samsung LED chip technology and brand authorisation. In 2025 the company also launched its own chip brand, WELLMAX LED, integrating semiconductor technology into its lighting products.
WELLMAX works for international lighting brands and distributors, offering product development, manufacturing and value-added services backed by its export experience. For buyers looking for a supplier specialised exclusively in LED bulbs and spotlights — rather than a general lighting company — it is one of the Chinese manufacturers with the longest track record in that specific niche.
