About VeriSilicon Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

VeriSilicon Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a Chinese semiconductor company founded in 2001 and headquartered in Shanghai. It is listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (ticker 688521) and is mainland China's largest semiconductor intellectual property provider and the seventh largest worldwide, with more than 2,000 employees, eight design and R&D centres and eleven sales and customer service offices in several countries.

Its business model, which it calls Silicon Platform as a Service (SiPaaS), combines two activities: licensing its in-house semiconductor IP and providing one-stop custom chip design services, from the initial specification through to mass production. Its processor IP portfolio covers six categories — graphics (GPU), neural network (NPU), video (VPU), digital signal (DSP), image signal (ISP) and display processors — together with more than 1,600 analog, mixed-signal, RF and interface IPs.

Chips designed with VeriSilicon IP or services are used in consumer electronics, automotive electronics, computers and peripherals, industry, data processing and the Internet of Things. For brands and manufacturers without their own silicon design teams, the company acts as a single partner that reduces the risk and time to market of products built on advanced processes such as 4nm FinFET or 22nm FD-SOI.
