About Teambition
Teambition is a Chinese collaboration and project management platform founded in Shanghai in the early 2010s and acquired by Alibaba Group in 2019. The product integrates with the DingTalk ecosystem and targets teams that need to plan, execute and track projects with shared visibility, reporting tens of millions of users and thousands of paying enterprises.
The tool organises work into visual projects with status boards, task management, Gantt charts, meeting management, document collaboration, integrated messaging and report generation. For product and engineering teams it offers an end-to-end agile platform with iteration planning, test and defect management, time tracking, efficiency statistics and DevOps tool integration, while for retail and manufacturing it adapts project management to digitalisation, marketing operations and collaboration across stores or plants.
Since joining Alibaba, Teambition has been adding artificial intelligence features for project planning and analysis, drawing on large language models. Its headquarters are at Alibaba's Shanghai R&D centre on the Zhangjiang Artificial Intelligence Island, from where it serves internet, manufacturing, retail and healthcare customers in China and other markets.
