The company develops chips that turn magnetic fields into precise electrical signals to measure angle, linear displacement, speed and current in motor and mechanism control systems.
Its flagship products are its magnetic angle sensor chips, including the third-generation MT6521 — with 3D sensing, analogue, PWM, SENT and SPI outputs and AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualification — and the MT6835, a 21-bit magnetic encoder chip for closed-loop stepper motors able to run at very high speeds. Its own website announced in 2025 the agreement for Suzhou Novosense Microelectronics to acquire 100% of the company, while MagnTek keeps its own brand, website and activity.
