About Shandong Hekangyuan Group

Shandong Hekangyuan Group (HKY) is a livestock enterprise group founded in March 2009 and headquartered in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. Its core business is the poultry and food industry: breeding and reproduction of breeding ducks and chickens, commercial farming, feed production, meat duck slaughtering and food processing, as well as international trade. The group operates more than 30 subsidiaries across Shandong, Jiangsu, Hebei and Inner Mongolia, generating annual sales revenue of nearly RMB 50 billion.

Breeding ducks are the heart of Hekangyuan's business: the group holds about 15% of China's grandparent breeding duck stock, and its parent breeding ducks produce approximately 4.5 billion commercial ducklings per year. It runs 22 high-standard breeding duck farms and 5 industry-leading hatcheries with a combined daily capacity exceeding 1.6 million ducklings. Its commercial farming division outputs 15 million meat ducks per year, mainly supplying the group's two food processing bases, which produce 180,000 tons of chilled and frozen products and 2,000 tons of prepared dishes annually.

Beyond the complete farm-to-table meat duck chain, HKY also operates its own research institute, a breeding chicken division that supplies around 100 million commercial chicks to the market each year, and a feed division with annual production capacity above 1.2 million tons. This vertical integration makes Hekangyuan one of the benchmark livestock production groups in northern China.
