About Beijing SelectDB Technology Co., Ltd.
SelectDB is the commercial company created in Beijing by the core team of the Apache Doris project, one of the most widely used open-source analytical databases in China. Its namesake product turns that engine into an enterprise platform, available as a cloud service and in private deployments, for companies that need to query massive data volumes with millisecond responses.
The platform focuses on real-time analytics: it ingests data at high concurrency and makes it immediately queryable, runs complex queries in seconds according to the benchmark results published on its site against comparable systems, and can analyse open lakehouse formats such as Hive, Iceberg or Paimon directly without prior extraction processes. On that same foundation it unifies structured data, JSON logs, full-text search and vector search, and adds native support for the MCP protocol and an AI semantic layer designed for agent applications and retrieval-augmented generation.
Its official website claims the trust of more than ten thousand enterprises and documents cases in electric vehicles, logistics, artificial intelligence, automotive and finance, with observability and user-data platforms processing hundreds of terabytes a day. For Chinese organisations modernising their data warehouse, SelectDB positions itself as the commercial route for support, tooling and services around Apache Doris.
