About Samson Holding
Samson Holding is a furniture group founded in 1995 by Shan Huei Kuo and Yi-Mei Liu with the launch of Lacquer Craft in Dongguan, Guangdong province. Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2005 (stock code 531), the group states its headquarters in Jiashan, China, on its own official website, and combines its own manufacturing in Asia with wholesale distribution of its brands in North America and other markets.
Its portfolio brings together residential and hospitality brands such as Universal Furniture, Legacy Classic Furniture, Legacy Classic Kids, Craftmaster Furniture, Baker, Milling Road, McGuire, Paula Deen Home and LacquerCraft Hospitality. The range covers mid- to high-end living room, dining room and bedroom furniture, plus hotel and project programmes, produced in its Lacquer Craft plants and sold both under its own brands and on an OEM basis for international brands and retailers.
The group employs more than 10,000 people and operates over six million square feet of production and warehouse facilities in China, Indonesia, Bangladesh and the United States. Its vertically integrated model — design, manufacturing in China and wholesale marketing in the United States — allows it to serve large chains and small retailers alike, including the consolidated mixed-container shipping format that the company itself pioneered in the industry.
