Puyang Longfeng Paper Co., Ltd., operating internationally under the Lonfon Paper brand, is a paper company from Puyang, in Henan Province, founded in August 2003 with Henan Investment Group as its controlling shareholder. It started with registered capital of 563.06 million yuan and a workforce of about 800 people, around an integrated forest-paper project recognised among the ten major forest-paper projects of China's five-year plan.
Its production focuses on high-grade printing paper: high-whiteness woodfree offset paper, copy paper and coated paper, made with international papermaking and quality-control technology. The plant incorporated Andritz chemi-mechanical poplar pulping processes and papermaking equipment from Finland's Metso, with a 7.2-metre-wide paper machine designed for 1,800 metres per minute and ABB automatic control systems.
Longfeng's paper is designed for high-speed rotary and sheetfed printing — books and school material, computer printing paper, magazines, catalogues, maps, calendars and envelopes — with notable dimensional stability and tensile strength. The company, ISO 9001 certified since 2008 and managed with ERP systems, has produced and exported offset paper for more than ten years and maintains research cooperation with Nanjing Forestry University.
