About PingCode
PingCode is a Chinese R&D management platform developed by Beijing Yicheng Xingguang Technology, a Beijing company in the same group as the established collaboration SaaS Worktile. Launched in 2019, it has become one of China's top-rated software project management tools, positioned as a local alternative to Jira for development teams.
The platform covers the full software lifecycle with eight integrated sub-products: goals and requirements management, project management with agile, waterfall or hybrid methods, test management, a knowledge base, engineering performance measurement, directory services and R&D automation. It is offered as SaaS and in private deployments, with a free version for small teams and enterprise editions adapted to Chinese systems and compliance requirements.
Its customers include Xiaohongshu, Great Wall Motor, Tsinghua University and China Telecom, along with thousands of internet, e-commerce, gaming, finance and manufacturing companies. PingCode has completed several funding rounds and pursues a dual-engine model alongside Worktile: R&D management for technical teams and general collaboration for the rest of the organisation.
