About Peacock Watch
Peacock Watch is a Chinese watch manufacture founded in 1957 in Dandong, Liaoning province, a border city known as the 'Geneva of the East' for its watchmaking tradition. Heir to the historic Liaoning watch factory, the company — today Liaoning Peacock Watch Co., Ltd. — integrates research, component production, movement assembly and finished watch sales, and is among the very few Chinese brands able to develop and manufacture their own calibres end to end.
Its declared specialty is the tourbillon: Peacock developed China's first dual tourbillon with its own intellectual property, with the cages placed at 5 and 7 o'clock, a configuration shared worldwide with only one Swiss manufacture. The current catalogue, sold through its official English-language store, includes the Black Hole central tourbillon, the Tai Chi triple-axis tourbillon — presented as the smallest and lightest of its kind — and pieces with hand guilloché and micro-engraving.
With more than three hundred movements developed over its history and an industrial base in Dandong that also supplies calibres to third parties, Peacock represents the manufacturing side of Chinese watchmaking: in-house production, haute horlogerie complications and a growing international profile among independent watch collectors.
