Hainan Jinpan Smart Technology Co., Ltd., known as Jinpan Technology, is a manufacturer of power transmission and distribution equipment headquartered in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province. Founded in 1997 and listed on Shanghai's STAR Market, the company has become one of the world's largest producers of dry-type transformers, with plants in Haikou, Wuhan, Shanghai and Guilin.
Its flagship product is the cast resin dry-type transformer, alongside VPI transformers, reactors, medium and low voltage switchgear and box-type substations. On that base it has developed a power electronics line including integrated photovoltaic inverter grid-connection equipment, intelligent transformers for solar parks, integrated energy storage systems and high-voltage dynamic reactive power compensation equipment.
