About Hongshi Holding Group
Hongshi Holding Group, also known by its Red Lion cement brand, is a private building materials group with roots in 1994 and headquarters in Lanxi, Zhejiang province. It ranks among China's top five hundred enterprises and among the twelve large national cement groups supported by the State, with three main business sectors: cement, environmental protection and investment.
Its core business is cement manufactured with the modern dry process, with more than fifty large cement companies spread across ten Chinese provinces, including Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Fujian, and a production capacity the group puts above one hundred million tonnes. The national network is joined by large cement projects of its own in Laos, Nepal, Indonesia and Myanmar, extending its presence across Southeast and South Asia.
Hongshi employs more than fifteen thousand people and combines its industrial activity with significant financial holdings, including being a main shareholder of a listed regional bank. Its private scale, unusual in a sector dominated in China by state groups, makes it one of the distinctive names of the country's cement industry.
