About Hodo Group

Hodo Group (Hongdou Group) is a Chinese industrial group headquartered in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, founded in 1957 and known for its Hongdou ('red bean') brand, a traditional Chinese symbol associated with the Qixi festival that the group itself promotes. Although now diversified, its original and main industry remains apparel.

In textiles, Hodo manufactures and markets menswear, comfort and home clothing — its Hodo Home line — childrenswear and knitted garments such as underwear, an area in which it takes part in drafting industry standards in China. The group sells its clothing through physical stores, major e-commerce platforms and official Tmall storefronts, which it links from its corporate website.

Alongside apparel, the group operates in tyres (through its tyre subsidiary) and in pharmaceuticals, which its website presents as the conglomerate's three main industries. Its official website, in Chinese with an English version, carries group news, its corporate culture built around the 'culture of affection', and its social responsibility programmes, such as its support fund for veterans and centenarians.
