About Hengyuanxiang Group

Hengyuanxiang Group (HYX) is one of China's time-honoured brands, founded in Shanghai in 1927 as a small wool yarn shop and grown into a corporate group specialised in knitting, clothing, home textiles and wool. According to its own English website, the group is the largest wool user in China — and possibly in the world — consuming more than 10,000 tonnes of wool a year.

Its home textile line is one of its core categories, with bedding built around natural fibres: wool quilts, down and silk quilts, bedding sets, blankets and knitted home products, sold alongside its famous wool sweaters and knitwear. The group operates mainly as a brand company: it manages dozens of core alliance factories and a franchise network that has numbered hundreds of franchisers and thousands of sales points.

Hengyuanxiang was the official sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games — the first wool and textile enterprise to sponsor the Games — and its brand management has been praised internationally. Its official website, with a full English version, presents the group's history since 1927, its wool, knitting, clothing and home textile businesses, and its Shanghai headquarters identity.
