About Haichang Ocean Park
Haichang Ocean Park is the Chinese operator specialising in ocean theme parks, developed by Haichang Ocean Park Holdings, a Hong Kong-listed company headquartered in Shanghai. Its official website presents a network of marine destinations spread across the country under a motto of bringing dreams, love and joy to visiting families.
Its parks include Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, opened in 2018 in Pudong as the flagship project with rides, marine animal exhibits and a themed hotel; the Laohutan polar pavilion and Discovery Kingdom in Dalian; Yantai's Fisherman's Wharf; Chongqing's Caribbean water world; the Zhengzhou ocean resort; and Sanya's dream undersea city. The group is also building a new large ocean park in Beijing, next to the Universal resort, scheduled to open in 2027.
The business combines operating its own parks with operation services for third parties and supporting property development, including hotels and retail areas attached to the parks. Haichang has established itself as the reference brand for marine leisure in China, with polar and tropical exhibits, shows and science outreach programmes aimed at family audiences.
