About Emperor Watch & Jewellery Limited
Emperor Watch & Jewellery is a Hong Kong watch and jewellery house whose origins go back to 1942, when Yeung Shing opened the Shing On Kee watch shop on Shanghai Street in Hong Kong. That small watch store became the seed of today's group, which grew with further shops on Nathan Road during the 1940s and 1960s and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2008 under stock code 887.
The company combines two complementary activities: retailing prestigious timepieces from the great international manufactures, and designing and manufacturing its own jewellery, something it has done since the 1960s. Its jewellery collections, including the high jewellery lines championed by its chairperson Cindy Yeung, work with diamonds, jadeite, pearls and precious metals in a contemporary language intended both for everyday wear and for major occasions.
With boutiques in Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China and Southeast Asia, and an official website in English and Chinese, Emperor serves customers looking for signature pieces and high-end watches with specialist in-store service. After more than eighty years, the house keeps the dual identity of watch retailer and jewellery maker that sets it apart within Hong Kong's luxury trade.
