About ClassIn
ClassIn is the educational software platform developed by EEO (Empower Education Online), a technology company based in Beijing's Haidian District. It was created as a virtual classroom designed specifically for teaching rather than as an adapted video-conferencing tool: it reproduces the dynamics of a face-to-face lesson with an interactive blackboard, students visible on screen and participation tools built for learning.
The system combines live classes for large groups, a near-limitless blackboard that can be saved and reviewed after the session, breakout rooms, screen sharing, interactive STEM experiments and a built-in web browser. On top of that sits a school management dashboard (LMS) from which institutions assign tutors, store materials, supervise ongoing sessions and generate automatic learning reports for families, together with messaging, assignments and grading.
According to the platform itself, ClassIn works with tens of thousands of partner schools and institutions and is used in more than 160 countries, with millions of sessions taught every month across K-12 education, languages, vocational training and private tutoring. The client runs on Windows, macOS, Chromebooks, iOS and Android, and the company publishes English documentation and APIs so schools can integrate the virtual classroom into their own systems. It is one of China's most internationally visible education software products.
