About China Jianlong Steel
Behind the Jianlong Steel brand stands Beijing Jianlong Heavy Industry Group, a privately owned conglomerate headquartered in Beijing that has been built since 2000 through the acquisition and restructuring of troubled steelworks. Steel is its core business, with crude steel capacity among the largest of China's private producers, at around 36–40 million tonnes a year.
The group runs steel plants in Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin and Ningxia, plus a steelworks in Malaysia, and produces ranges from long and flat products to special steels such as wire rod for springs, bearings and tyre cord, and high-end seamless tubes. Its chain is completed by mining and beneficiation — iron, copper, molybdenum, vanadium and phosphate ores — together with coke and vanadium pentoxide.
Alongside steel and resources, Jianlong is active in shipbuilding and electromechanical equipment manufacturing, and is steering its growth towards Industry 4.0 and higher-value products. For buyers of special steels and long products, it represents one of China's large private groups, with national scale and production presence beyond China as well.
