About China First Heavy Industries
China First Heavy Industries (CFHI), also known as Yizhong, is one of China's historic heavy equipment manufacturers, founded in 1954 and headquartered in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang. The company designs, manufactures, installs and repairs large technical equipment for the power, metallurgy, petrochemical and mining sectors, and is among the few producers worldwide able to handle forgings of several hundred tonnes.
Its output covers nuclear power equipment such as reactor pressure vessels and steam generators, petrochemical equipment such as hydrogenation reactors and oversized heat exchangers, and metallurgical equipment such as hot and cold strip rolling mills, continuous casting machines and converters. It also builds forging equipment, including large hydraulic and mechanical presses, and engineering machinery such as mining excavators and shield tunnelling machines.
From its historic casting and forging base in Fulaerji District, Qiqihar, and a nuclear and petrochemical equipment manufacturing base in Dalian, Liaoning, CFHI supplies critical components to energy and industrial programmes in China and abroad, while developing higher-end equipment, advanced materials and new energy lines.
