About China Cargo Airlines
China Cargo Airlines, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Changning District, Shanghai, was China's first airline dedicated exclusively to air cargo. It operates scheduled freight services with freighter aircraft using China Eastern Airlines' route structure, with its main hub at Shanghai Pudong International Airport and its head office by Hongqiao International Airport.
The company is a joint venture in which China Eastern Airlines holds a 51% stake, and in 2011 it merged the operations of Great Wall Airlines and Shanghai Airlines Cargo, which were progressively rebranded under its name. As a member of SkyTeam Cargo, it connects Chinese cargo capacity with the alliance's global network, serving trunk routes to Europe, North America and Asia.
Its specialisation in scheduled air freight — from general cargo and perishables to urgent e-commerce shipments — makes it a key part of the Yangtze River Delta's export logistics. With its own headquarters, fleet and website (ckair.com), it is a clearly differentiated freight transport brand within the China Eastern group.
