About Chengdu Airlines

Chengdu Airlines is a Chinese passenger airline headquartered in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, with its main base at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. It operates under IATA code EU and provides scheduled domestic passenger and cargo air services. The company was founded in 2004 as United Eagle Airlines and adopted its current name in 2010; its shareholders include state aircraft manufacturer COMAC, Sichuan Airlines Group and Chengdu Communications Investment Group, an unusual combination of central, provincial and municipal capital in the Chinese airline industry.

Its network covers more than 50 destinations within China, with routes linking Chengdu to cities such as Fuzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Haikou, Hohhot, Xining and Yinchuan, and reaching as far as Heihe, Fuyuan and Jiamusi in the far northeast of the country. Its fleet combines Airbus A320 family aircraft with the Chinese COMAC C909 regional jet, formerly known as the ARJ21, of which it was the first airline operator; its official website devotes a special section to this aircraft, presented as the Chinese commercial jet flying from Chengdu to the world.

Through its official website, published in Chinese, the airline sells tickets and lets passengers manage bookings, select seats and check in online for flights departing from more than one hundred cities, as well as buy an online upgrade to its comfort economy cabin. The site also features special fares, route recommendations and content dedicated to discovering Chengdu, and the company serves passengers on its 956028 hotline and on +86 28 66668888 for enquiries, complaints and suggestions.
