About China Certification and Inspection Group

China Certification and Inspection Group, known by its acronym CCIC, is the Chinese state quality services group created in 1980 and headquartered in Beijing, today a central enterprise under SASAC supervision. Its official Chinese-language website organises its activity into more than twenty product lines covering the full cycle of inspection, testing, certification, standards and metrology for trade and industry.

Its services include import and export commodity inspection, product and system certification —including the CQC mark—, laboratory testing, equipment and engineering supervision, customs and trade compliance services, safety assessment, metrology and low-carbon and environmental lines. The group brings together hundreds of partner laboratories and tens of thousands of customers in China and abroad.

CCIC maintains institutions at the main ports and distribution centres of more than thirty countries and regions and provides technical services to major international projects, including those of the Belt and Road. It targets governments, foreign trade companies, manufacturers and operators that need a Chinese third-party body, with state backing, to verify the quality and conformity of products and projects.
