About Beijing Deqingyuan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.

Beijing Deqingyuan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., known by its Deqingyuan (DQY) brand, is the company that introduced branded eggs to China: according to Beijing municipal sources covering its history, it ended the era of eggs with no brand, no standard and no production date, and took part in drafting China's first egg standard. Its ecological farm next to the Songshan nature reserve grew into Asia's largest laying-hen operation, with three million birds.

Its current official website presents an operation that goes far beyond shell eggs: it supplies nutritious eggs, high-quality liquid egg, deeply processed egg products and chicken meat products nationwide every day, relying on its own layer farms and a controlled cold chain and traceability system. It was the egg supplier for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and received the Crystal Egg Award, the world egg industry's highest honour.

Deqingyuan also runs the "Jinji" (Golden Rooster) poverty-alleviation project, with 25 rural poultry farms that, according to its website, have helped 260,000 registered people out of poverty, and maintains R&D programmes in food testing, feed formulation and biosecurity. Its closed-loop ecological model — farm, biogas and organic fertilisation — makes it a benchmark of sustainable poultry farming in China.
