About Beijing Chaoshifa Chain Store Co., Ltd.

Beijing Chaoshifa Chain Store Co., Ltd. is the historic supermarket chain of Beijing's Haidian district, heir to the Haidian Non-Staple Food Company founded in 1956. Converted into a joint-stock company in 1999 —the first Beijing chain retailer to adopt that form— it is a state-owned enterprise under the district's assets commission and an everyday name for several generations of shoppers in the capital.

Its business combines retail and wholesale of fresh daily food, groceries, household goods and agency-brand products. It operates more than one hundred stores across eight Beijing districts and the Hebei cities of Chengde and Zhangjiakou, in comprehensive, food, community and fresh supermarket formats, Chaoshifa Lawson convenience stores run with the Japanese chain, and community service centres, supported by its own logistics base of some 30,000 square metres with temperature-controlled and cold stores.

For the retail trade, Chaoshifa stands for the public neighbourhood-chain model specialised in fresh food and the daily basket, with ISO 9000 quality certification and repeated rankings among China's top one hundred chains. Its official Chinese-language website presents the company, its store formats and its network across the capital.
